I'm sure there are some girls who dress like this, fair. But it's not really "trendy in artfag circles" like the post i was responding to said.
You don't need to take my word for it, either. Most instagram explore page girls in the college age group are doing either baggy or y2k/soft girl stuff, not really academic. There are some, but on the whole I just don't think it's that common. The brands I see most are like Brandy Melville, asos, h&m, etc, plus thrifting, none of which really cater to dark academia
I'm sure on some art school campuses, DA is more popular. But at CalArts/SAIC/RISD? not in my experience
