I loved Balmain under Decarnin but I don't care for the direction Rousteing has taken since moving away from his mentor's defining look.

The beaded jackets from SS15 are amazing though.

I love parts of their aesthetic but they do tend to go over the top on a lot of pieces. That's part of the point because their whole thing is charging more than almost any other fashion house so they have to make the stuff instantly recognizable.

I preferred Decarnin's collections because they were a bit more subdued, but Rousteing has definitely made his own mark on the classic pieces. Some of the asian influenced stuff from a few years ago was cool and the beaded jackets from SS15 are stunning.
