The Talented Mr Ripley is not a good Jude Law movie but also one of the most /fa/ movies of all time. The Young Pope is great too, although that's of course a TV series.

Of course they are. If, by quality, you just mean working, buy anything quartz that ticks the boxes you're looking for. Consider your style, and what colours you want for the dial, the strap, and what textures, too. Seiko, Citizen, Tissot, what have you, are all generally liked cheap brands. I think they're sorta shitty, but I guess they're good starting points for investigation

There was one mentioned in a bamfstyle post. Search dandy and scroll down till you find it, they have some nice knit riviera shirts for like 100 bucks that I sort of wish I knew about before going to Italy again. If you have a lot of money and want something great the 'Scott fraser collection' were selling knit shirts very accurate to the ones seen in the Talented Mr Ripley, which is grail material for this type of stuff. If you want 50s skinhead esque stuff you've got more choice, there's plenty of vintage or reproduction stuff on ebay and online, and merc London (I think they were called that) were selling knit shirts like that, but sans the camp collar which I was looking for. Todd Snyder had a nice light grey Ripley-esque button up short sleeved shirt, and far afield had a bunch of button up knit shirts, but the knit was like a thick Jersey which was kinda boring. Ever since watching the talented mr ripley I've been looking for a nice panel knit shirt, but they really only look good with a white or cream base and a similarly light colour for the panels imo. Otherwise it's more of a skinhead aesthetic which isn't really what I was looking for. Hope this helps a little
