if you're size 40-44, yeah, you can find wool clothing thats lasted decades in thrift stores or ebay very easily. there are pure cashmere sportjackets in my local thrift shops for like $30.
if youre smaller, not that easy.

same reason you tuck a shirt, proportions. sweaters are typically cut way too long today. companies will often have their models do a weird half tuck in ads so you can actually see the waistline & belt. when they should have just cut it shorter to begin with.
