I'm gonna take a bite:
I see where you're coming from with this argument, but times have changed, and so has the concept of fashion. Sure, most new age garments that attempt to have a distressed style are much worse in quality than classics such as the suit, and that's because these new pieces are much harder to make. Fashion has become much more experimental in the past years, and it's arguable that it's become a contest of who can be the most special snowflake. But then again, you have to remember that some designers have succeeded in creating luxury pieces that might be a bit less "traditional" than what you would expect. There's a reason that Rick is praised here, and it's because he's pushing the limits of fashion while keeping to high quality standards. We've become a society which is much less unified than it was before because of freedom of expression continuing to encourage us to stray from the norm, which is why "menswear" might seem irrelevant to most people on effay today. But honestly, half of what you're saying is giving me a headache, I've never seen someone pull this much shit out of their artisan-made suit pockets. Honestly, what are you trying to prove? Menswear is the only acceptable form of fashion? Honestly, this board is like an escape from the endless circlejerk of "SUIT SUIT SUIT SUIT ALLEN EDMONDS SUIT SUIT SUIT".
>You couldn't tell a Chinese sourced mink from an American one.
Could you? Stop trying to put yourself on such a high ground because of your anonymity. We all know that you're not a master in fabric engineering, so stop trying to put someone so low when you're so far down there yourself.
By the way the suit you attached looks like shit, and probably is because you likely have no taste.
>You are ignorant about textiles and the importance of high quality wools, leathers, dyes and thread.
At least try to cover your bait.
