Thanks Anon, but >>15388280 is absolutely spot on; I said enough things that were either out of date or totally wrong that every comment I made afterwards was treated as a 'mostly untrue' fact-check. That's the beauty of this site though. What can I say, I'm getting old, my memory is turning to shit, and the watch industry is moving far faster than I thought.

As for posting here after all these years...well, you know how it is:
>you're here forever.

But I keep coming back because I am enthusiastic about watches, and I've seen watches here that I never even knew existed and learned about them. The glory days are long gone though (I think everyone moved to a discord), but you'll see occasional old posters coming by. Sometimes good discussions can be had too, about the state of the watch industry, 'is watch buying considered a "hobby"', and so forth.

I am curious though: until you posted the pic, I thought 'Bagelsport' was a meme and not an actual watch. Is it just a replica of the Milgauss, or something more? And why the hell was it called 'Bagelsport'?

>Anons also hated me posting pics of the Daniels, the 4.5, and the Seagull regularly, assuming that I was using it as a trip even though my writing style renders me recognizable anyway. Such is life...I'll always post images of watches I think are cool on an imageboard for watches.

Sorry, correction; Day and Date, not month; that's to be found on the Mark40.

Try Citizen; my post from Friday >>15091393
I like the square ones...though I have no idea if they look good on my wrist or not. Good place to start, as mechanicals are not great in that range nor do they tend to look good in that price range either. Unless you go vintage and have the servicing problems.

I don't know if you're lucky with work or not...they are paying me to stay home for two weeks...so we'll see what happens after...lol

Why the fuck did you guys stop allowing independents to buy spare or replacement parts for Omegas? Fucking bullshit move...

>in b4 most of the regular money comes from the servicing
>independents don't know how to service co-axials
>the business is dying anyway, so there's no longterm problem.

I don't want my watch replaced when it's serviced...just made to run without problems in the mechanism damnit. Oh, and you guys can't get the fucking hands right on any MarkII-4.5 Speedy, btw. Furthermore, fucking contract Lemania to reproduce the old cal. 321 and put it in a limited fucking edition of the man on the fucking moon. It would sell better than anything else you have. Unless your purpose is to prop up the pre cal.861 market...

I can't think of anything else to either ask you of or accuse you...though you probably don't work for Omega directly and thus won't have any answers on that. Still annoyed though.

Oh, Happy Christmas! I don't hold you personally responsible for all my complaints...but maybe you guys haven't heard all that yet...

Sorry, it looked like the LH. The bracelet is definitely one of the good ones, though the Seamaster bracelet is still superior. The speedy though looks fucking awesome on leather straps....there's no end to what is possible in terms of combos.

Cool! In terms of the observatory-certified wristwatches, are they from all brands that had them, or are you brand-specific with this collection? (I don't know enough about the subject, so forgive the question if it's stupid).

I know what you mean about the loose terminology regarding grails. I'll tighten it a bit to mean something that is either very difficult to get, very expensive for you personally, or both. Something that you'd want, that you'd be satisfied with, and that would be something like the center of your collection or the showcase. Does that make it a little easier to narrow down?
