Probably your biggest mistake is equating sexual attraction to "aesthetic beauty".

Sexual attraction can be influenced slightly by cultural trends, but it cannot be constructed in the way that something aesthetically beautiful can.

It's reasonable to think that Rick Owen's and Tatsuro Horikawa's designs are beautiful even though they represent a departure from traditionally beautful clothing.It's unreasonable to think that pic related will ever be attractive to a functioning human being.
