Is it a slightly domed mineral crystal? Looks like heat and cold is a common problem with microbrands and other low-volume production shitters. It happened ten years ago with the 2007 edition of the 1967 Amphibia. You can still find the forum of people finding their limited Amphibia with a mineral crystal cracked in the bathroom after taking it off for a shower.

Few months ago I had a microbrand shitter in (pic) that also had its domed mineral crystal spontaneously crack.

Also I got this in for a crystal replacement. A modern Ingersoll, with a basic Miyota automatic movement. I guess they're just some microbrand with a resurrected name now.

Apparently the domed mineral crystal just cracked.
