Are we thinking of the same designer here? He uses amazing textiles but none of his pieces are very out there or particularly interesting. There are a couple pieces every season though that lush the envelope which I really like but for the most part he stays true to usual stuff.But that's exactly his appeal, its for people who want an incredibly well made piece without all the frills. I'm not saying the cuts and silhouettes are good though(they are) just that they aren't very creative or experimental like your implying.
