Why is this so overrated?

I knew nothing about rap, i never listened to it literally, avoiding it actively so as to not infect myself with that catchy bydlo shit. So i was really unfamiliar with rap except for songs i couldn't help but hear on radio, commercials, movie soundtracks, etc. So i was familiar with the Kanye West feel. So i just listened for the first time to picrel last night and immediately it screamed at me I JACKED KANYE STYLE! why is he special then? he is just a pretty face with swag.
