When I was 18 and working overnights in fast food, I memorized the costs of single items, combos, commonly ordered items. This way, I would know how much the total was without having to punch in the order. I would usually just tell the order to the cook and say I accidentally cleared it from the screen. The customer would 'pay', I would pocket the cash. I usually waited for larger orders ($15-$30). Did it once every night in a 5-day shift, so I would clear at least $120. No evidence.
I feel like shit about it now.
