They could be a bit higher yes, but luckily since its black you dont really notice it that much
I'd suggest using a thicker material for your pants though

Try using a black canvas or black cargo pant and see how it works, also try out some different all black shoes like some all black ski hi's, or converse, or SFB style field boots or something just to see if it would work
Also I think for winter/cold spring you could try wearing an OD shemagh or scarf or something too

I wish Nicholas K still made this jacket..
