not exactly, sliding genio and chin implants are for people who have mostly forward grown faces/jaws but just weak chins

if you look like pic related you will need much more extensive jaw surgery because a sliding genio only changes the chin, which in this case will just elongate your face even more

losing bodyfat will always help, but if you don't have sufficient bone mass and support for your skin then your facial aesthetics will suffer greatly. keep in mind though, you will likely lose your chubby cheeks/baby face as you mature. 18 is still young for a lot of guys (definitely was for me, i was babyfaced as shit)

it is honestly not that invasive, but in terms of cosmetic surgery for your situation it's definitely the best you can get. As it happens I'm planning on getting it done in the near future once everything is sorted out

You can't just it the nearest surgeon and tell him to fix this shit, and this shit. Or at least, you can't do that if you plan to get the cost covered.

And if you don't, well, i hope your parents are rich because maxillofacial surgery often starts at 10'000$.

I had otoplasty and rhinoplasty myself. Was it worth it ? Probably. But in the end it's way too invasive and costly. Besides if you're a perfectionist with some layers of narcissism, like most of /fa/, you will never be fully happy with the results.

I don't think "recreative" plastic surgery is a good idea. If you have some real problems, and i'm talking an absolute lack of chin (pic related for example), massive Dumbo ears, or some kind of deformity, sure, go for it. Chances are that the surgery will be covered on top of that.
