The shoes are comfortable but that's about it. I wouldn't go running in them. The main appeal of techwear (in my opinion) is aesthetic foremost and then performance. If we really cared about clothing holding up to abuse/elements then we'd all just wear hiking/sports gear all the time because it would probably be cheaper, and more purpose built. The fact that thechwear clothing wicks water away, or dries quickly, or keeps out wind and rain is secondary to the aesthetic.

With that being said I still mix and match tech and non-tech materials. I'm wearing a cotton sweater right now because it's comfortable, I like the way it looks and I'm indoors anyway.
