>At the very least they could do better than the JLC factory finish.
There is a massive difference in finish between the base and the VC modified movement brah. Stop being disingenuous. Look at this trash.

>The movements are very close in terms of finishing.
They are not. JLC does noticeably finer quality movement finishing than GS on their respective production models. JLC uses blued screws, more anglage, and more polished anglage, and does much more refined plate finishes applied with traditional machines.

GS does mostly machine applied decorative finishing on their production models, and prefers to spend the hand labour on their movements in functional areas rather than decorative. This focus on spending the hand labour on functional rather than decorative areas (or on both) in movements goes all the way back to the start of Grand Seiko and King Seiko at Daini and Suwa Seikosha.

>I thought you were referring to GS.
I was referring to watches GS actually makes, the haute finished pieces aren't made by GS, they are just GS branded. The micro-artist studio is a separate organization within Seiko, normally organized under Credor.

>He's talking about the movement finishing and not just the dia
So am I, hence the comparison to an Omega 8600 movement.

>JLC steel watches are done to the same level as the precious metal versions for a fraction of the price.
No.
