i used to say the same thing. The reason i got it was because i wanted a very small slim fit m65 and found one advertised on an asian amazon thing. pic related (yea it was on negredo) and they sent me this item which is totally 100% nothing like the pictures on the stores site. It is thin and light and more like a heavy shirt. But when I first tried it on i thought it fit so i kept it and planned to make it part of my halloween costume and put on the patches. But I used the 1st aviation brigade on on purpose. anyway on halloween i ended up having to work so I wore it as a jacket so i could still use it and everyone liked it on me and I use it as my go too jacket
