This is false about Loake. Their 1880 range is made entirely in England. The Shoemaker can be England, India or both and the rest are made in India.

I have a pair of 1880 Chatsworth seconds. They're stamped “subs”. The stitching on part of the welt is a bit crap but they're fine.

They have two shops that sell them I forget where. They used to sell them on eBay.
