this depends on your body type and the kind of fit you're going for. my best luck is with uniqlo v necks and I'm learning how to hem the sleeves. however, the fit is more streetwear-ish than tight (i.e. OP). I'm 5'10" ~151 lbs 13% bf (estimate) and I wear size M.

this is as far as I got with the sleeve hemming. I just rolled them up and tack sewed it. I need to cut the sleeves and sew them properly without them flaring out. if I gain another 5 lbs and get to like 11% I think it should look decent. the lighting and angle for the pics is pretty bad btw, makes the top block look too big.

AA 2001 and Mossimo are both worse than the uniqlo supima cotton ones in terms of material. it looks like the crew necks went to shit but the v necks are still made from a really nice cotton that's much better than anything else I've tried in that price range.
