Julbo does prescription, as does any reputable sunglasses manufacturer. I don't know about O'riginals, but from what I understand they do it as well. Contact them and ask.

You'd be surprised about the bug-eyed thing. Have you ever tried them on? If you can get a chance, do so in person because then you'll know for sure. They're large, no doubt, but because of their rather iconic look, they tend to get a 'pass' in terms of how it fits your face compared with other glasses or designs.

In the same way that people expect aviators to be a certain size, and they always seem to look okay on people regardless of how large/small they are on the head, Vermonts are the same. If you live in cold climates, they look fucking awesome if you're wearing a parka with the hood up, but even in the summertime they're great.

Just be aware that in some jurisdictions you might be pulled over by a cop if you're driving while wearing them with the side-shields; the claim is that you are driving with impaired vision. Given that the side shields can be removed on both the Drus and the Vermonts, it's not a problem, but just be aware of this. Also, with the Vermonts, if you want to take off the side-shields, you have to unscrew the frame slightly so the lens is loose, and then carefully remove the shield. On the Drus and more modern models (like the Sherpa) they simply 'clip' on to the side of the frame, so the more modern ones are easier to remove.

Doin good today man. Yesterday was a shit day; no motivation, no inspiration, nothing...not a goddamned thing. But today...today was good. Felt good, was productive, and my body is responding in a good way to the stresses I put it under.

I'm tempted by a long leather jacket though...and I shouldn't be given my limited rotation in my closet as well as a limited budget. But the temptress is cruel...and she reappears every few months, especially when it's cold enough and rainy enough to seemingly justify the purchase.

How bout you?

The comments about your boots...were they from friends/family, or from associates (like at work)? If from friends, maybe they never saw you in boots before, and commented about it because it was unusual. If they wanted to be nice, then maybe they commented on them to make you feel that they noticed. It might not all be bad...

The thing about clothing is that no matter how hard we try, it still comes across as an extension of our personality, and if it's something that someone who knows us doesn't expect, then they'll comment on it in order to get clarification about how they should feel about it.

The first leather jacket I ever bought, I got loads of comments even though the damn thing didn't fit very well. It was because everyone who knew me knew that it was an important 'fashion' step to make, so they tried to make me feel good about it. Now I wear leather all the time, fitted properly, and no one says anything because they're used to it.

Don't worry Anon; just wear what you want to wear. There are very few places in the western world were people seriously criticize others for bad fashion to their face (in other words, outside of the high-dollar-multi-billionaire clubs). Just be sure that you're wearing the clothing, and the clothing isn't wearing you.
