Love New York. It's home to me and it definitely isn't insanely expensive barring a few areas like Manhattan south of 96th St, North Brooklyn, and Park Slope/Carroll Gardens. That being said I'm considering leaving for some personal reasons, but I'll sorely miss it if I do go.

Last time this thread was made, anons said Ridgewood/Greenpoint, but it really depends on your definition of "effay" is I suppose. For me I prefer comfy feeling neighborhoods that aren't in the action but close to it, but others may prefer to be in the center of it all.

Thanks that's a good solution. I can't change how my sister eats but if I have healthier food, tea, coffee, and water around I can eat and drink that instead of the garbage she buys.
