This is the most accurate response so far.

I just bought some shoes that are painfully tight on the sides, with a bit of wiggle room in the front. If I return them (bought them online) and get a half size up, or even a whole size up, will they be any wider, or just longer? I have never had this problem with any shoe in my life. These shoes like seriously hurt though I can't keep them on for more than a few minutes.
