Why not get a brush for the hell of it? A decent synthetic brush is like $10 max, will likely whip up a better lather than your hamfingers, and it will last until your autistic self breaks it. I am about to get a mail call for shaving supplies myself. Found a 1960 "f3" Gillette superspeed at an antique store for $4 so I thought fuck it might as well go full onions. Ive got a 100 pack of teflon coated voskhod blades, a budget tier synthetic "plisson" brush, and red proraso soap and matching red proraso aftershave. I chose red because I figure sandlewood smells better than menthol, and I don't really care about "feeling that minty burn".
