Can anyone recommend a strong, true sea salt/saltwater frag that I can layer with Olympea to get that kick back?
New formula is like a pressed powder version of what it used to be - All powdery white florals with a salt afterthought, not a clean hit of salt and green floral like it used to be.

You really need to actually see/touch textiles in real life to get an understanding. Take a look on Etsy, Ebay, local marketplaces etc for samples, scraps and even old ladies giving shit away. Build a practical knowledge of textiles and eventually you'll be able to spot 'em from across the room. Not really a practical answer for landing the job, but if you want a serious career in fashion it'll help.

I wear some kind of neo-Mod in dark jewel tones. It's not very representative of my personality because it looks quite elegant but I'm an autistic stoner with no friends.

Consider layering under rather than over, with long-sleeved shirts (can even be thermal if it's very cold) and thick tights.

You can layer thick skintone tights/leggings with patterned stockings over the top if you want to go overboard.

Utilize return policies to try different clothes sizes to figure out what fits you. Most stores will allow you to return clothes that aren't used and still have tags. If they happen to not take returns, just resell it, and assume to the lost. It's gonna happen down the line as you figure out your style.
