Because of what I do, I rarely get called into meetings. Usually accounts people take care of that stuff and as a designer, I just design whatever I get assigned. But today it was related to graphics guidelines so they brought me into a client call. It's Friday so I was just wearing the casual, playful Timex that I can use different colored straps with.

I've always known that the ticking in the Timex was loud. People can't hear that in normal settings but when there's no other noise, you can hear it from a few feet away. Because I keep it in my bedroom, I have to stop the watch before I sleep at night because it's too loud.

Today was a client call and they were explaining a lot of stuff to us so an account lead, her associate and me on this end were just keeping ourselves quite and listening on the phone. Whenever people would stop talking, you could hear my watch ticking every single second. At one point, the associate even looked at my watch. I really didn't want to intentionally stop my watch at that point and just kept it under the table till the meeting ended.

We had fun Timex... but this is the end for us. I'll always miss the changeable straps. I was planning to buy a casual eco-drive maybe in a few months but now I had to accelerate my replacement process.
