wear comfy things
bonus points if they look comfy to others as well
I'm talking extra comfortable clothes, not that slacker/Japanese stuff that people sometimes try to lump in with comfycore

right now I'm wearing knit angora wool pants and a wool turtleneck for maximum comfy

tips
Loose and oversized pieces are often staples of comfycore.
- Despite similarities in concept, oversized and sized up are not functionally equal. Clothing that is designed to fit oversized usually looks much nicer, cleaner, and, well... more intentional than sized up stuff.
- Sizing up is fine if you're on a budget. Knitwear tends to work better for upsizing than, say, sweats because the fabric has more freedom to stretch and move and thus looks more organic when worn.
- Comfy doesn't have to mean loose. Sometimes comfy is about feeling wrapped snugly.

Most fabrics, both natural and synthetic, can be soft and comfy to wear but natural fabrics tend to have more interesting texture, move more naturally, and end up looking comfier.
- A chunky polyester sweater might look similar to a chunky wool one but the wool will drape and bunch in a much more organic and visually pleasing way.

Many natural fabrics have inherent comfortable properties.
- Wool and linen are both hypoallergenic, which means they stay fresher and cleaner longer with proper care. Wool's coarse barbed fibers resist dust mites and so stay cleaner than fabrics like cotton.
- Linen and wool are both naturally temperature regulating, linen due to the hollow nature of the flax plant fibres from which it's made, and wool because of the natural moisture wicking properties and the air pockets in the weave. Hollow pockets act as insulators in cold weather, trapping air close to the body to be warmed, and cool in hot weather, wicking sweat away from the body to evaporate into the surrounding air via these pockets.
- Linen gets softer with each wash versus fabric like cotton that does the opposite.
