It's a watch you really need to view in person. The lacquered dial doesn't really photograph well. GS are good for the price but the Patek is better finished.

At the very lowest end of the market this is true. Low to mid tier the GS has very good finishing but their designs are very conservative, and that's honestly okay, but these days I prefer JLC at that price range because of their designs, movements and value.

I own everything from mall tier shitters up to ultra high end haute-horology and while I do like certain GS they aren't the holy grail watch /wt/ seems to think.
