Steel is only used on watches as a budget alternative. Titanium is more expensive and harder to machine which is why steel is used. There are titanium alloys with better polish and harder than steel but most consumers would rather get a cheap steel watch.

I have everything I want at the moment. Casio is the only company that makes watches that pique my interest. Unless they release something cool for the 40th anniversary I'm not buying anything.
