You do realize that the Speedy is the best selling and most popular watch that Omega makes, right? You also are aware that they've been slowly increasing the MSRP of the Speedmaster for the past decade, justifying the extra cost (while keeping the watch the same) by adding a huge box, loupe, extra straps, etc.?

Have you been charting the Japanese dropping Moonwatches like hotcakes since last December on both eBay and Chrono24? Have you seen the recent uptick in prices ever since Omega declared that they're discontinuing the 1861 with the replacement 3861? You're not thinking, and I'm beginning to think you don't /fa/.

I believe it is time for your daily dilation, ma'am.

The strap is a good match for the watch. The watch unfortunately will always mean, 'I wanted a Rolex but couldn't afford one'. Sorry Anon, that's what Tudor represents. If you love the watch and wear it regularly, then ignore my comment.

I've been wondering about this too for a long time. They always have the advertisement posters featuring 'speed' in a very 90's way (colours, angles, etc.), as if they're appealing to an aging fan of The Fast and the Furious. The strange thing is that they're not watches that go well with formal wear....or normal suits. They don't look waterproof, so basically...it's a 'fun' but expensive watch. That doesn't cut it, at least, in this economy.
