I thought putting a pencil on the vamp to force the leather to crease horizontally and at the correct spot when you first wear new shoes is bogus
But apparently it isn't

There's no point doing it later, after you take the first few steps the leather has already decided how to crease. It cannot be fixed or changed afterwards.

My girlfriend in highschool once told me short-sleeved button-down shirts make men look like waiters, so I have never bought or worn any

I sorta changed my mind last year, but this year I'm thinking of buying some
I already wear long-sleeved button-down shirts every day at work, so I guess I've become a lot more comfortable with the idea of wearing a shirt in general instead of just jeans and a t-shirt

Was my girlfriend right back then?
