Anybody willing to state their reasoning behind Sinn? They make good watches, ye, but why would they be the ultimate?

Where do you get your fix, strapoholics? Im in yurop and use uhrenarmbandversand and trendart24, sometimes amazon, but I dont want to support that fag any longer. Any (international) brands you recommend? Ive been burned by the cheapestnatostraps bitch in added fees.

Currently on a lookout for an adjustable rubber strap with a clasp.

Trendart24 site Canyon model. The blue takes white/silver dials extremely well, the green one is somewhere around a pool table green that takes a bit of getting used to.

Geckota K-01 L05 it is very heavy and is built too tall for what it contains, also I dislike the polished hands, the whole fighter plane instrument shtick is done better in some of their other obscure 43mm models. If you are into the aesthetics, Seiko and Citizen make something similar in solar/quartz. It was an impulse buy that I try to find love with, but ultimately cannot. I wanted the Sinn instrument and Panerai aesthetic but meh.

Very comfy, yes, but needs washing often and is very seasonal.

Summer is in full charge here, what are some easy-breathing straps you like?
Ive had good success with MN-type straps, comfy, relatively good breathing, get dirty fast but also easy to wash.
Are rally-type and perforated leather straps any better than regular?

MN from cheapestnatostraps feels...well...cheap, the clasp also needs a bit of bending not to dig into your wrist, but otherwise supremely comfy.

Watches with large numerals and thicc hands are easily read even during the night, like Panerai for example, then there are watches with full lume dial like DA37, other options are backlit displays or LEDs like the other anon said, in some Casio or Timex.
Pic rel, I can see well and clear what time it is in the dead of the night, even with my eyes half-asleep.

ye, I bought a cheapestmarinenationalestrap for a good price, then got FUCKED on the EUR->USD->EUR conversion even though Im in yurop as well. the quality is also the cheapest

pic rel, kino in the summer sunshine, very vibrant, extremely comfy, water and sweat is no problem, just rinse it. if you have a light watch head, doesnt dig in and wears like a feather, does feel thin and cheap, however, the clip(?) requires some flattening, so as to sit flush to the wrist and not dig in

t. extremely sensitive autistic faggot to wristwear

my take: heavy watch heads, stout leather to even the weight distribution; light watch heads, stretch straps or titanium bands

The quality of the MN straps is...questionable. The straps themselves do the job well enough, but are too thin and thus feel cheap. The metal bits need a bit of handiwork to get the desired comfort level (bending on a tabletop to get a flatter angle so as to not bite into your forearm).
Otherwise they are a splendind and comfortable, just make sure you dont use them on a heavy watch head as they dont hold form well, meaning a heavy watch will pull the whole thing down and you will get uncomfortable wear with the band cutting into your wrist..
Also, you will get jewed tremendously, even when buying from yurop, as the fags change the price into burgerdollars and then back to yuros, leaving you paying for the exchange rate, even though they are shipping within the old continent.

Where to shop for stretchy textile (marine nationale) style straps? I find them supremely confy and wearable with just about anything except dress pieces. CheapestNatoStraps have some pretty ones, from afar, but all in all they fell...well...cheapest. Im not looking to pay 50 bucks for one, mind you. Pic partially related.

Nylon is comfy in the way it is very light, easy to adjust to your precise specs and comfort, if you dont have fixed holes. However wearing a heavy watch head on one might make it dig into your wrist and for me thats not comfy. Keep it for the light titanium or quartz watcheads, wear heavier ones on stout leather or something that redistributes the weight evenly around the wrist.

But this is just my personal tism and preference.

>want to try the big boys world with automatic watches
>"robust movement", "work horse", etc.
>shit keeps slipping, have to adjust the time all the time if you have the tism and want to be precise to the second
>have to pay big bucks for COSC accuracy or have a normal one regulated for more money yet again
>having several watches that die down over time and have to readjust each time (and date) you decide to wear one

I see a pattern in the last few WT threads, that more and more people are leaving autos behind as a platonic love of the unknown, a hype of the 2010s, and move back (to the future) to quartz for the everyday. Being all around cheaper when it comes to buy, maintain and service, better resistance to outside physical forces, exponentially cheaper, unless meme markup by a microbrand. I understand the fascination of the miniature mechanics, but if you dont have a display caseback to wonder at it all, is it really worth it? The whole mechanical/auto watch business seems like a solution working on a non-existing problem that somebody has already solved decades ago with quartz. Demand, supply, I guess?
Worst of all, people not giving a fuck about overall design when using quartz movements, or asking extreme markups for watches with a 10 buck movement and the quality still being shit. I have not seen a pretty likeable quartz-powered watch while reasonably priced in a while now, be it a large manufacturer or microbrand. It is as though everyone has ditched the idea of consistency for the muh feels, mechanics memes.
