instagram, at least the interaction with strangers aspect or memes, is super cringeworthy. tumblr is so much more wide ranging than the hate it gets here, but that said i stopped using it maybe even like 8 years ago.
but i do think a lot of things went there as forums died. reddit is so horrible idk how that ever caught on, but that definitely contributed to the death of a lot of forums as well.
