Then what's the point? they are harder to get on and off and are completely unnecessary if you do that, Skinhead's wore work boots at first which were most commonly 6 eyelets back then. They wore them to give off a hard working class image, they even roughed up the boots to expose the toe caps. high boot's don't do that, they give off a militaristic image not a working class one.

It's caricaturish because it's what everyone thinks of and goes to at first but there is so much more to skinhead style, you don't have to cuff the jeans either, alot just hemmed them short and it looks better in all honesty. Sta prest and jungle greens are also an alternative.

Fred perry shirts are a bit boring too, slim fitting ben shermans with large 3 finger collars are the smarter option, especially with braces.
