have you ever lived in such a place, be cerfull of judging them as hellholes without knowing anything about what you are talking about. i think you'd be surprised how calming it is to remove most visual distractions and rather let a couple of peaces to shine. Contemporary architecture also challenges the idea of what it means to dwell, The way you live if heavily effected by the architecture you live in and may explore this rather than just refreshing what already exists.

yeah i could write an essay about this theme but i cant be bothered and you seem quite ignorant to what contemporary architecture is and reduce all architecture to be "nice and cozy. Architecture like fashion is not necessarily catering to the generic masses, what generic people what in terms of aesthetics and function is usually quite retarded and ignorant (functionally) and ugly. Its like saying all clothing should be wallmart tier because thats what people want.
