looking at this one I still think the same thing-no more thinning it, and you left out whether you straighten or blowdry it or whatever, but I'd stop doing that too if you are. heat can damage already curly hair and make it more prone to frizz/afros in the long run. if you have to blowdry, invest in one with a diffuser on the end if that's an option, possibly. ride with the natural accursed mane you've been blessed with.
something that helps me a lot is pulling it up in a tight bun to airdry and when i'm asleep, the curls hold a lot better and don't get messy later on. it takes longer since it's thick like yours is, but if all-day wear is a concern for you, it's the best option-use a light spray for security if you want, nothing heavy, with a fine mist.
I'd def go with a chin-length bob, something with the length of pic related to be versatile but still easy to pull into a pony or a bun or whathaveyou.
