You are wrong in that it isn't a 90 degree angle and it is perfectly ergonomic. The foam padding is also nice and plush. Hard to tell from a photo, I'll give you that.

Also, there are chairs with those legs from the 60's that have been sat in every day with no problems. They are solid steel. You have to be a giant tub of shit to even slightly bend them. And even then, the chair would go before the legs.
