Haha, I appreciate your condescension but those films aren't obscure. You may never have heard of them but Antonioni and Coppola (as I'm sure you're aware) are big names. Teshigahara is a legitimately amazing filmmaker.

>sam peckinpah or john ford
I love american cinema, but neither of these filmmakers speaks to me in particular. I like Friedkin, Lumet, and Hawks though.

>plot of woman in the dunes
A man gets tricked into a Sisyphean imprisonment. Sand encroaches on all fronts and he needs to find a way to escape before he's driven insane.

If that sounds boring to you, you should go watch Transformers.

>health blows
maybe health isn't your taste but boring? that's the farthest from how i'd describe it.

You can improve your life instantly by distancing yourself from your addiction to hedonistic consumerism.

Live small, without illusions and be a human being.

Maybe you should go out and experience life instead of trying to feel good by acquiring things constantly in a never ending stream of bullshit.

Place Beyond the Pines is a film about consequences. The consequences of actions from one generation transfer to the next. You are missing two thirds of the movie if you ignore the story of Bradley cooper's character and the follow up with both of their children.

In the production, that face tattoo that gosling has. He insisted upon it in pre production. The director was skeptical but said he'd allow gosling to do it for the character. After the first day of shooting, gosling saw the rushes and was horrified at how bad the tattoo looked. He wanted to remove it but the director forbid him. Cianfrance said that gosling made the choice and he has to deal with the reprecussions.

In other words, there's a lot more going on in the film than your silly insecurities about not being able to bed a girl.

Honestly, spending a lot of money on a watch makes more sense than spending a ton on seasonal fashion statements seeing as the watch will last you and your children for generations is you buy correctly and the clothes won't even last you a year if you buy them like /fa/ does.

He's literally almost a homeless person.

Jesus Christ. Paying hundreds of dollars to look poor has to be the most absurd type of consumerism in existence.

Why does almost everyone in these threads look like an emaciated post apocalyptic crackhead.

How do you all look at yourself in the mirror with your ripped black jeans and stretched black top and think "yes, i look good".

Get some fucking color, it's fucking summer you shitbags and your emo "i'm too cool for life" styles make you look like fucking zombies.

Hahahaha. Dude, I already bought them and I posted it after I was posting in here.

There is believe it or not a middle ground between someone that gets all of their self worth from buying shit and someone that wants to abolish private property.

>please don't get that fucking checkered shirt.
>For your sake.
I didn't realize it was life or death, lol.

You need to calm yourself, man. These things aren't that serious.

This is why you might want to save some of that money to buy a book.
