I'm pretty sure it's all the diplomatic business they do, but I'm surprised it's actually *in the IMF building*.

Like what is that even doing with one single retail space carved into the corner?

Ignore the noise from the "don't look like you care about or enjoy anything" school of dressing. Wear the headphones you actually want to listen through.

Hey Bateman, if you haven't, check out Book Arts in the IMF building. Super high end bespoke stationary, great people. You'll outdo your fictional Exchange Place alter ego.

Lol.

Anyway, OP, that looks kinda like a Levi's logo, but I'm not sure. You'll find similar styling on most any vintage military inspired cargo.

Yeah, because I've had a beard since the mid/late Aughts, and I do. not. want to be confused with these fucks who simultaneously want to make it a statement of their ~~rugged, virile masculinity~~ and treat it with the utmost preciousness.

I originally started growing it because I was a teenager into poetry and wanted to emulate Allen Ginsberg, a scrawny, dramatically gay man who at one point literally owned one item of tableware.

>Once when I was visiting Allen in his apartment he asked me if I would like some coffee. Having said "Yes," he presented me with a metal bowl with coffee in it. The bowl seemed strange (like a dog dish) and I nursed the coffee to cool it down. Soon he started asking "Are you finished with that, man?" I would say "No, not yet" and after awhile I started to feel uncomfortable because the bowl seemed important to him. When I finally said "Yes," he grabbed the bowl away -- threw the remaining coffee in the sink and sat down with the bowl for his breakfast cereal. I was using his only bowl.

I still think it's okay, but the contrasting fabric is a problem.

Take it to a tailor and ask them to put some decent zippers on it, OP.

Can you do some pics of the inside and the labels?

Looking forward to it, then.

This is true, but the answer is the four in hand.

I say this as someone who owns one knit tie I wear on the very rare occasion I'm wearing a full suit.

Yeah, I'm generally pro sharing retail deals. One off auctions are harder to call, and generally I think saving those for the people into something enough to be crawling Rakuten for it is good.

wasn't me, I was rebuking him after the greentext. The greentext was just getting caught up in 4chan shit, didn't mean to sound like I was actually calling foul on your post.

The "Shh..." also wasn't meant aggressively, more like a tongue and cheek way of saying "yeah, those are a super good deal."

Two selections from what we're talking about: this shirt is currently $112 USD at Haven.

>implying you can't drink tea and mate
>implying mate isn't very arguably a tea

Personally, I drink coffee the most, then mate, then other kinds of tea.

And sure, there's yuppies who stumble into legit gear and never push it, but 1) those cats are usually in TNF or Arc'Teryx, not exotic Japanese fashion shells, 2) my guess is that most gear above the price point paid by people who want something to keep them dry walking to the subway actually gets used well, including stuff sold in technical fabrics as fashion, and 3) a lot of this stuff is designed for intensive use in cities as well.

Like, if you don't drive and don't want to futz with an umbrella, you need at least a hardshell to live in many cities without depending on cars.

They're useful to add out of the way (kinesthetically, thermally, sweatily) core insulation, either on their own or as an impromptu liner in a jacket. Especially if the jacket is windproof.

I don't use them much, because I'm into fleece jackets and usually wear one of those when I'm active enough or it's warm enough to not need a full jacket.

Especially used as a liner, they can be useful to add a pop of color or a subtle accent.

They're also useful for taking on white supremacy and the cops, just fyi.

>>10334992
Nah, hooded vests are the best. Insulation or concealment as you need it.

Best one I've seen is one from Burton AK, in the womenswear line, with a turtleneck and a grown-on hood.

Oh! And on the second point, there used to be. Anyone else here remember My Virtual Model? It's still around, as a depressing shell of what it was, and there's no mens' option except as a weight loss visualization tool.

I spent gobs of playing around with that as an early teen.

H&M had something similar a little while back and when had threads trying to assemble decent fits out of H&M clothes. They might still have it.

But yeah, color theory and looking are all you need.

<20 minutes of Googling "color theory" is all you need to start a lifetime of paying attention to how color works.

Pic related, a color wheel drawn by Goethe with a really shitty purple.

It's not even a God's chosen race thing; racism of any kind is basic bitch bullshit and noxious.

I know less about specific flashlight offerings because I don't commonly use them, beyond the flashlight app on my phone and a little shitty-but-useful-up-close one that I always have with me because it literally came attached to my bike lock key.

I do know people like flashlights from these companies:

Streamlight
Inova
Fenix
Surefire
Pelican
LED Lenser

Look for something with both white and red LEDs. More common is something coming with a red filter, but that's annoying.

The Ion is a cheap ($25), tiny mini light that's pretty much fully featured, with the same kind of red light option (which saves your night vision) as legit trail lights, and it's fully waterproof as well. It's not as long ranged or bright as the other ones, but it'll be fine in a city. Battery life isn't quite as good.

You should also consider the Petzl e+LITE, which is in the same class as the Ion. Similar feature set, even smaller, but the light is much less versatile/good at distance. Visually, its design is kind of gadget-y, versus the very sleek Black Diamond designs, but it definitely has its own charm. It has a tiny little elastic strap that's probably better for strapping around random things but isn't as comfortable on your head as the proper straps on the BDs.

TL;DR if you want something USB rechargeable and awesome, get the Black Diamond ReVolt. If you want something tiny that you can still take hiking innawoods as a primary light, get the Ion. If you want something super tiny and adequate as a city light/emergency torch, get the e+LITE.

>in Israel

Surprisingly, I can't think of any major light company based in Israel.

The Jews-are-tricky-rich-businessmen thing is old bullshit you should drop.

That out of the way, get a headlamp. They take up functionally less space in your pocket or bag, they can give you use of your hands, the features and optics are often better, and you can hold it in your hand just as well.

Lumens aren't a stupid measurement, or any more of a way to make loads of money than anything, but they're only part of the story. As given by light manufacturers, they're a measure of the total light output. The range of the light, how bright it'll be where you're pointing it, and how clearly visible it makes things are a combination of that and the optics. Optics probably matter more.

Other companies make good ones, too, but it's hard to beat Black Diamond's lineup - in almost every class of headlamp, they've got the all around best-experience option.

For general innametropolis use, it's hard to beat either the ReVolt or the Ion.

The ReVolt is USB rechargeable, which is its main selling point, and almost identical in design and quality to the main workhorse lights in BD's range, the Storm and the Spot. (They're slightly better in a way you probably wouldn't even miss in the woods, and the Storm is rated waterproof if you dunk it, versus just getting water splashed on it.) It's got better battery life, too.

Pic is the ReVolt.
