notice how the leather on the SS14 is darker? This indicates different treatment, tanning process, etc. It's a thinner jacket and requires slightly more immaculate construction.

I bought my moody Bauhaus not long ago in Soho and there's a difference between the feel of the leathers between the SS14 and FW15 jackets. The difference is even visible in the pictures if you zoom in. The leather on the FW15 jackets is oiled and feels stickier and grainier, a little more textured. It's a very heavy, padded jacket. On the SS14 jackets, the leather is super smooth and thin, allowing you to realistically wear one in the spring/summer time.

The process of making a winter garment wearable in the summer takes time and work, so thus is costs more.

Each season is cut differently, and not only that, but the jackets are actually sewn in Moldova and there are (surprisingly) differences within 2 different jackets of the same size (a size 50 jacket might fit a little better than a different size 50).

You have to decide whether you want a jacket to fit something under (like a jumper) or commit to buying a smaller jacket in order for it to stretch out over time. There are multiple factors you have to consider here.
