They are in the mail now, so I should be receiving them by the end of the week. From what I understand, when it comes to shoes from Amadei, Carpe Diem is above and beyond the best. What I think is cool about MA+ is the replaceable soles and just the last and silhouette of the toebox. How its a little bulbous! Guidis are great, I highly recommend those especially if you can get them used for a reasonable price. The ma+ derbies were a splurge for me.

with guidis the z usually indicates the ankle shaft is thinner so 988s would be a good choice. The 986s might be the best for you then.

I had a pair and they phenomenal. Size up! Because they run small. 788z's are cool too and they run a bit higher up the ankle. These have combat soles which are really cool too and lot more aggressive

So, you can get those creeper motos i posted about for sub 800 and I love those shoes. They work well tucked into pants and also with pants over them.

It's a very common answer but I would also recommend Guidi 988s and also Carpe Diem Backzips. Both can be bought used for less than 800. I'm not a huge chelsea boot guy, but I would recommend church's beijing boots. I have heard ok things about that. Guidis are my favorite though.

You're going to have an extremely difficult time finding boots like this made of leather at a price point sub-100. I paid right around 600$ for mine. I think you could maybe find an alternative for around 200$
