that's like setting aside an entire half-hour to take a nice big satisfying shit but it's the unformed soft-serve kind and you never shake the feeling that there's still a little bit of it in your colon

okay know it alls, then explain how he got the scissors to cut through the material? where do you even get scissors?

you were literally defining quality as, aside from the cut (which i'll assume for your sake isn't referring to fit) and "feel", as seams that hold up to inspection. you're deliberately being fuzzy and vague and saying quality is "durability...plus some other stuff i won't say", because that other stuff is probably the logo and the price tag, except you don't want to be caught saying that. either that or you're saying quality includes subjective aesthetic value, which it doesn't. we're talking craftmanship here.

i own $70 levi's jeans and i own $200 n&f jeans. i've subjected both to the same levels of abuse, and both have stood up, no crotch blowouts or holes. both have faded the same way, and the only real difference is the weight of the denim, which is down to preference and not price. i have some chucks that went to shit within a year, i have some vans that went to shit quicker than that, and i have some reeboks that cost 10 bucks more and have lasted me three years now. there is nothing wrong with flashing your money. if you can afford to cop gucci for basics, shit, cop it. just don't pretend you're doing it because it'll last you forever or some shit.

now, if you'd been talking BRANDS this whole time, you'd have had a point. but you were talking price points. and in the exception of cases where the higher price is due to more expensive materials (egyptian cotton vs. shit cotton, metal vs. plastic, good leather vs. shit leather vs. canvas), it really doesn't affect the final product as much as you'd like to convince yourself it does.

tl;dr suck my nuts

i'm not saying go to walmart and grab cheap-ass starter shirts or anything, but the notion that there's no ceiling to the durability of fucking basics like t-shirts and polos (i.e., what you'll buy from these places) is not only potentially limitless but also tied directly to price is fucking retarded and the same kind of thought process that makes workwear fags drop multiple whole paycheck on 64oz $900 iron heart jeans. a shirt or pair of pants can only be so well-made and so resistant to wear and tear and still be wearable. are you trying to tell me a disposable-ass t-shirt will fall apart unless it cost $100? by that logic, this mythical high-quality shirt must not be made of pleb dadcore materials like cotton and has to be made of NASA poly-aluminum carbon polymer or something, right?

we were never talking about suits or leather jackets either so don't try and pretend that's what anyone was talking about.
