Would a good white T-shirt be fine under the sportcoat or should I step it up with a good white OCBD?

Not the OP but the tread topic matches my dilemma, I'm going to a gay wedding, it's not formal so no one is expected to wear a suit or tux.

My question is what do I wear that would be in good taste? Should I just wear a suit anyways and hope I won't be the only one? Wedding is in Las Vegas, dunno where the actual event will be held, maybe just inside of a chapel.
