Ok so here is the spreader bar. Uber-simple as far as parts go. 26" length of steel pipe, drill through each end. thread some glow in the dark awesome rope and tie off each end so the knots are contained in the tube and dont show. attach to your favorite pair of cuffs or use rope.

bumping with a small project I did for a friend. ABS knife with a false edge. When you cant see the thing it feels just like a real blade.

as a former spencers employee DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE TO ACTUALLY USE! You can get a decen cheap pair of reliable cuffs that you wont be calling a locksmith to get off your partner here:
http://www.amazon.com/Smith-Wesson-Chain-Linked-Handcuffs-Locking/dp/B001MTFTA4
its worth the extra cash. They'll last you a lifetime.

attached is one of the easiest DIY's for BDSM. A bit gag.

also when it comes to coating new toys that are going to be impact based (crops, paddles, exc) I've found that a VERY thin coat of plastidip spray works wonders to make them both sturdy, safe, and damn sexy looking.

got the paddle finished and ready for use. an hour total including drying time. sure beats spending $80 on one.

what i have found works amazing for this is you get a pair of handcuffs (not too cheap) and cut the center link of the chain. This allows you to link one cuff to each end of the spreader bar on an eyelet screw and makes for a very very effective restraint. see attached sketch

and for something that you can pretty much hide in plain sight and not have to worry about people questioning we have my second favorite form of restraints aside from rope: Martial arts belts. These are made of some decent quality cotton and spread the force out over a wider area so you dont have as much pinching and cutting as you would with rope. They tie easily and are fairly inexpensive.

So next up is a staple of any good BDSM collection. Just get a section of rope and tie a noose at either end. You will find PLENTY of uses for this. Start with a piece of rope 5'-6' long btw.

and for those who dont know how to tie this knot:

Unless your sub is into hardcore paid i'd veer away from this next one. Its some bamboo skewers that are glued together to a dowel at the base and held in place with some rubberized tape. This thing leaves some nasty red welts.

and one of my personal favorites, the syringe nipple puller. Just chop the end off of a small syringe and sand down the edges so that they wont rip into your playmate flesh. These things work wonders

to start off we have a small paddle made from a piece of 1/4"x1/2" aluminum stock. The head of the paddle is ABS that will later be sanded smooth on the edges and possible have some studs put in it to add to the effect. Ive found that this stock is just springy enough to allow a little room for error when it comes to playtime but not so soft that it just bends.
