that's what i think i'm going to have to do for the kick drums, the packing tape heads are good enough for toms and snare, but i know they won't be strong enough for a kick lever (that i will be fab-ing)

just got back from a junk raid, found a couple old steel kettles and a baking sheet that i'm going to cut up for cymbals

it's packing tape (duck brand HDclear to be specific) and it sounds really good, very good tone for tape

i have a few more buckets that need to be emptied (failed wine making adventure) to make the other toms.

i have to get a hold of a plastic 55gal drum to cut in half for the kicks (thats right, dual bass drums for me) there's a local place that i've gotten empty drums from before that has them cheap

i'm tryin to stay away from actual drum parts...

i have two drums made 1gal snare and 5gal tom

they sound good for haveing packing tape heads, but now i need a bass drum and at least one cymbal.

all the stands can be worked out after the drums are figured out

i want to make a drum set out of buckets, plates, and other things

has anyone done this successfully?

would it be easier to just build an electric drums set?

i'm thinking about doing it on an old brick building near my house that doesn't get painted, but am not sure if i should go with a high or low detail piece. also should it be on the north side of the building?

o, also i bought a pair of skullcandy headphones yesterday (shit is cheap = i got them) and in the bottom of the package was a stencil of their logo on a card to punch out and use...

you are correct on the line issue

but stencils are just another way to art

so stop bein a sad panda and try one of the stencil

(preferably on someone elses things)

maybe for a large canvas, you could try throwing a bunch of these stencils together to make a /diy/ monument

i dont really do the multi stage stencils...

i know it looks better, but how much more time goes into making it?
