>upstairs sink leak at 11pm
>fix leak
>need 24”x24” ceiling tile for basement
>cut spare 24”x48” with hacksaw to fit

Been lay way for 2 years, wife hasn’t noticed and I can’t be assed to buy a new tile.

Any high-heat ceramic will work.

I’m building a sleeping platform for the back of my van, and I want to seal it. Should I use polyurethane or shellac or what? It will be in an enclosed space, so I’d like something that won’t let off fumes after it has cured.

I run a one-man bike shop. I usually put in about 72 hours a week, and make about $1400/week for myself.

I'm going to move to mostly internet sales this year, and repairs for brick-and-mortar business. New Bike sales were very poor the last year and a half.

In the wintertime I tune skis and adjust ski bindings.

Mix said wood filler with fine sawdust.

Sometimes, it's best to drill the hole out larger, then plug it with a dowel and drill the dowel.

No parents. Hers are dead and mine are in a nursing home. It's a butternut squash, not a dildo.

GF and I made spooky jack-o-lanterns. Mine is the happy spider, hers is the crazy snail.

Letting him go is a non-option. I raised him from a hatchling, so he'd die pretty fast... Not to mention the fact that he's a Coastal Plain Cooter, and he couldn't overwinter here in New England.

Working on getting him a friend. I'd like to avoid the hassle of upgrading again in a few years, so another turtle is out... Not to mention aggression issues, etc. I'm thinking either a good-sized pleco (maybe two), or a small school of golden algae eaters, or maybe some Zebra Danios. With enough hidey-holes, and the fact that he sleeps at night, they should be able to make it.

Turtle tub and stand are done. Ezra seems happier now.

Can someone identify this tool? Don't think it's ski-specific, but I found it at the ski shop I work at.

Do you like animals? Would make a killer terrarium/aquarium/turtle tub room.
I mention turtles because the love the natural light.

Didn't want to pull the pallet apart, then rebuild it.

Sanded.

Just knocking off splinters and rounding edges. Besides, disassembling a pallet is a shit ton of work if you're just going to put it back together.

Building a stand to keep my 100-gallon turtle tub off the basement floor. Used a pallet to build it, and some bits of an old box-spring to beef it up a bit. Used a bunch of 3" deck screws for the actual fastening and some small nails for tacking. Next is sanding, staining, and shellac.

Maybe I'll swing by Lowes and get some Terra cotta. I've had crappy luck with concrete growing algae in the past, and falling apart, too.

Getting my turtle tub set up. Going to hand lights above for basking and UVA/UVB, external canister filter underneath. Need to build a basking shelf... Not sure what to do for that, yet.

Nothing too cool, but I made a quick-n-dirty shop stool last night from a cracked bike frame. Spread the dropouts and hacksawed the front triangle off... The cuts aren't great because it was half past beer-thirty and I wasn't exactly sober.

I'm making some furniture for my AK build. A thumb hole stock and a vertical foregrip, which I will then send to a CNC lathe. Might try a 3D-printed version, too.
