The 2000mah battery wouldn't even cut 1/2 an hour, so instead went overkill.

Good news everyone. the latest battery (a 20,000mAh monster) is big enough to run both the screen and MP3 player for sufficient time. so ordering them hopefully today to complete the rest of the pipboys... I'll be posting a link to the ebay auction here when the two I'm selling are completed.

I am getting the mobile phone recharge packs and will be pulling them down. 22,000mAh is the next step. I mainly use eBay for the mp3s and batteries and switches and for the screens I used an Australian company. But for one off stuff I use jaycar. And rs online.

it's very rough at the minute mate, as I live in a rental and the shed I work in isn't lined there isn't much I can do to improve it. hopefully when I move it will be to a house with a larger shed and with better workspace.

Finished the 4 layer stencil. All hand cut. Really happy with how it turned out... Having trouble sourcing a good long life battery pack for the pipboys. I managed to get a 5000mah one but it Runs out of juice too quickly. Next option is a 10,000mah one.

I've already spent alot of time and money on the deco's so far, so I might do a few final cheaper things, like a nuka cola banner on an old bed sheet etc. but I really haveto finish the pipboys, as the finish date is getting further away. My prototype batteries are hopefully arriving this week from the US, and if I'm happy with the outcome from the trials, then I'll order them in

As all of these objects I'm building will have a place at my themed party, I thought instead of having any old garbage bins at the party, I built the crate from a few old pallets from work to be used for empty bottles and I'll have a 44gal drum with radioactive written all over it for another. a grteat way of using space practically instead of pointless clutter decos
