I just know someone of you has access to the service manuals for sony xperia Z1.
Especially the parts describing the power supply / battery are of interest for me.
Why? Because reasons.

Have a look at freifunk. Mesh networking for everyone. Last time I checked they wanted to incorporate that into the piratebox project, but had not yet.

Thistalented /diy/eron the pic is "the elephant man" from china.
I quote:
"Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that can cause abnormal growth of neural cell tissue, leading to physical deformity. [...] In July 2007, he underwent surgery to have 33lb of tumor tissue removed from his face. A second operation in 2008 removed another 10lb. [...]
Doctors have admitted it is impossible that Chuncai will ever look “normal”, due to permanent disfigurement of his facial bone structure. But they believe he will be able to have a less challenging life."

Soo, why am I posting this? Because I thought just saying "Man the fuck up and get a job and a life, and maybe by the time you earned enough money you'll also have learned you don't really need a normal chest to lead a normal life" was a bit harsh. But, yeah. You get the picture.

Before doing absurd or creative activities while drunk, you should have a look at darwinawards.
Just saying. Maybe I shouldn't, in regards to the improvement of the gene pool.

I have lots of old hard drives from work, which we salvage from laptops. Most between 80 and 160 GB. I use them to store not-so-important stuff like downloaded movies etc.
I bought a cheap external USB-case which comes 5€ for USB 2.0. You can also get a USB 3.0 one for 13€.
The design is in such a way that you can just plug in the controller part without the case part.

You'll have to decide if that's worth it, for me it definitely is. Virtually endless supply of free storage space.

In short, all locking mechanisms which keep the blade in place when you'd stab someone or something aren't allowed. All locking mechanisms which would allow the knife to fold back in in said scenario are allowed.
Because ya know, when you're trying to stab someone to death you totally won't do it when you'd have to cut your own fingers doing so.

Objection! I'm looking for a knife i can use as a tool to get stuff done, not a weapon.

Just ordered the Buck Bantam; thanks everyone for participating :)

>> No.406939 [View]

Thanks for the many suggestions. So far, I like the Buck Bantam and the Kershaw One Ton best. The Liong Mah looks nice too, maybe if I can find a source here - so far I've only seen "Mah Eraser Tactical" being sold, and that model kinda screams out "I'd fucking love to cut something else but apples and boxes, if only you gave me a chance". It comes around 150€, which is triple my budget, anyway.

While looking up those suggestions I've also seen some nice fixed blades - but I'm a bit afraid people would give me weird looks if I'd be running around with a knife on my belt. I live in a metropolitan area and work in IT, so other than opening boxes, maybe stripping some cables or cutting some cord there is really no justification for me to own a knife.

>>406552
If you're still monitoring this thread, how do you store your fixed blade? Any discrete ways?

>> No.406575 [View]

>>406564
The blade must not be longer than 12cm /4.7 inch if it's a fixed blade. Certain locking mechanisms aren't allowed either, but those details aren't that important. As long as it passes off as a genuine all-purpose-everyday-carry-knife, I'll be safe. Just no rambo-bushmaster-killing spree bullshit.

looks nice, definitely considering that one!

Mostly simple crap like you described. A folder woud be nice, so I can carry it in my pocket or backpack. Not too big / long blade, because weapon laws etc.
I'd be willing to spend up to 50 Euros max.

Hi guys. Pondering to buy me a one-hand knife for all sorts of things. Peeling fruits, cutting stuff, slaying the undead.
Any suggestions for me?

Have you ever used a decent hair dryer? Many of them have two switches, one for temp and one for fan speed. So it's possible to just have cool air.

1/10.

Some say so, some say so. I agree with you that some orange peels in a big heap prolly won't hurt much. But take a look at OPs picture again, aside from oranges and coffee I really don't see much in there.

>> No.340624 [View]

Oranges etc. are often heavily treated with pesticides. Which isn't good for the bacteria you want. They also tend to grow mold very quick, which also doesn't help.

IKEA has some good deals. It shouldn't surprise anyone, tho, that their cheap stuff is just like the other cheap stuff you can get elsewhere: crap.

Repurposing IKEA stuff can yield some good results, tho. Build a climbing post for my cats from one of their Stolmen posts which I wrapped in hemp rope.

Have a look at ikeahackers.net for more ideas. Here is one that I personally find very clever: http://www.ikeahackers.net/2012/10/home-office-in-box.html#more

Deducting from my experience as a supporter for software interfaces: 926 Bits means 926 doors or areas which can be stored on the keycard itself.
The software I supported was mostly used in hotels; some of the bits were used for room numbers, others for certain areas, let's say the spa area.

Practically you don't need 1 bit for every door. You can use an access level system like >>306428 already noted, or you subsumize all doors to / within certain areas. Then you only need to read the bit for that area, and if it's I you are granted access, if it's 0 you're not.
