I'd go with the Pi, simply because you can use it for more than just 'automation' in the sense of turning your lights on and off.
You'd get the capability of using it as a central media hub along with automation capabilities of other controllers.

Don't go on /an/, they're all fucked in the head.

I'll try that. I've got a scope.

You can buy an external GPU that's connected via USB.
But that's not really that great of an option.

You can buy a really thick brush and use that on the door.
That's used a lot on revolving doors in supermarkets.

Bleach and ammonia are the two base components you'll need to mix.

You're not supposed to actually buy the batteries.
You only carry the leads and rip out the battery from your off-road vehicle so you can nigger rig repair well enough to get home.

Only to find that your car now wont start along with the other two and you're fucked in the middle of nowhere.

Personally what I look for in a table is a dedicated lifted leg space.
This is because I'm scared of spiders attacking my exposed feet ;_;

Get a decent brand used analog scope. You can get a good one for $50 or even for free if you find a school updating their stuff.

I'll pleb it out with an arduino, but I'll make a proper PCB so it's okay, r-right?

For the sake of fun, we should have MacGyver threads about pretend situations like these. Nigger rigging our way to survival.
That being said, OP please make a more accurate setting for the thing.

Either way OP, post progress if you do decide to do it.
This is a project I'm interested in.

Have you tried making your own plans? How hard could it be

>> No.761188 [View]

Really I'd suggest you buy a platform and build it up, like a cheap chinese ATV or a tractor lawn mower.
Check videos of that guy that DIY'd a sears tractor thing. He has full progress videos.

The thing here is, we can either talk about restoring an engine, electronics, painting a fence OR we can have 25 HOW DO I VAPE GUYS, I HAVE ACCESS TO A RUBBER BAND AND A TOOTHPICK.
Basically, vape threads would become the smartphone threads of /diy/. It has nothing to do with legality, it's like this to keep board quality up.

When dealing with security systems, always use negative logic.

I think you'd want some sort of a piston for such an application.
It can either be only a push out deal and you fabricate some sort of spring mechanism or just operat everything with the piston.
Also no sex toys.

Look at car central locking mechanisms.

Well I guess that's true, but if someone actually decides he wants to do something on his own he's instantly ahead of the plebs that default to not giving a fuck about school.

I should know, in my first year I had trouble understanding a linear PSU circuit we had to make for our final project.
But once you start to actually do shit outside of the program it gets much more fun.

How the fuck is that final project tier.
All you need to do is point the LED at the material and log the value you get on the photoresistor from the reflection, if value =x then you're on the line, good.
Then all you've got to do is repeat the process on a couple of locations (left, right middle) and program some if statements that decide if the robot needs to move to the left or to the right or stay in the middle depending on the values of the resistors.

He could do it around a PIC for around 20 currencies. He'd need to get a bootloader for it, but after that's done all he needs is ldmicro which translates ladder logic to code native to the PIC

picture related.
I can post the schematics as well if you'd like

You can get a used 20MHz analog scope for that kind of money easily.
