that sounds good too, and the gimmick capacitor search on google images showed a few twisted wire dils

>> No.305456 [View]

thanks guys, i guess ill consider getting a capacitance meter. i could maybe tighten or loosen 2 pieces of twisted wire to change the value

i had one exactly like op pic for 5$ and it broke when i was trying to measure a piezo clicker, thetalented /diy/erwho helped me fucking clicked it over and over again real fast, if he wouldnt have, it wouldnt have broken. i tried replacing the fuse but it didnt work (maybe wrong fuse) but if anything just take the 9v and the connect out and use it for shit

meant to say if my buds desktop *doesnt*

>> No.253421 [View]

if my bud's desktop solves this, ill put together a usb adapter that has the capacitor in it. i appreciate the responses

i just tried a surge protector and i still get the poppings. it might be my laptop's shitty audio card, since in audacity i have trouble recording while other tracks are playing (laggy and stuttery), and i cant do a live playback with my mic. im going to ask my buddy if i can borrow an old desktop he doesnt use, ive seen that audacity doesnt lag and shit like it does on my laptop.

i have a cad u1 usb mic from amazon and im trying to record guitar/vocals with it.

when my computer's power cord is plugged in, i can hear the cord make a light ringing noise and my recording software has a random pattern of click sounds, and when its not plugged into my cpu or wall outlet the ringing goes away and the program's clicks go away but there is some kind of buzz in my cpu's recording software. the comments on amazon say someone had a problem with interference and put a link to a ferrite bead which snaps onto it supposedly and his problem went away. this shits weird, can someone help me out?

i want to mod my shitty guitar amp into one that will have a bit more distortion since i get a pathetic tweed sound when gain is high and master is low. i was hoping someone could identify the stagesmsuch as preamp opamp and whatever because i was thinking something like lowing a resistor value somewhere if itll take the extra heat or something shit idk
