Yes and no
I am a scrapper but the PCBs have little to no savagable gold. I have an artsy-fartsy friend that wants them shredded after I've stripped them down

I'm trying to figure out how to make a circuit board grinder. I figure it will have to be hand driven because an electronic motor with enough torque is fuckin expensive.

The biggest problem I'm having is how to build teeth easily and cheaply that won't just go to shit the first time I use it.

Tools I have on hand are a dremal, wheel grinder, drills, 4" angle grinder... Just about any hand tools...

If you know anyone that collects scrap metal those old blocks are mostly brass

Most are made of PVC or PVCA

I've seen it used in several small mechanical projects. Just grab a hand full of the free/empty gift cards and laminate them together with non-foaming superglue

I just buy cheap throw away guns that shit out after about a month or two. I've bought more expensive ones but didn't see any real difference.

Where I do see a difference is in the glues. If you need something to stick together for more than 15 min don't even bother using the shit glue that comes with the shit guns. Like Swifts said, Stanley glue is AMAZING!

Just to cover all bases, make sure you prep your surfaces. Rough sand smooth materials... blah blah blah

Been stuck at work or over at my Mum's house most of the week

I was deep scrubbing/power washing and re-soldering shitty drain pipes at the restaurant I work at. Then turning around and doing rip out and replace on about half of the piping at Mum's

In the spare time, a guy from work bet me that he could make a better knife than me in 3 days.

Handle is shit but I like the blade well enough. Quick ground from a reciprocating saw blade and oil quenched

Any tips (other than fix the handle)?

Fuck tard I use to work with at Home Depot (I was an assembler one summer) would always over pack the cardboard packer/bailer. I told him everyday that it would get him hurt sooner or later.

One time he packed it WAAAAAY too full and was standing in the "DO NOT CROSS WHILE BAILER IS OPERATING" line. A sound like 1000 guitar strings popping and one of the wires snaps and slashes out of the machine cutting his left shoulder wide open. I'm talking down to the bone. He gets rushed to the hospital and never comes back to work.

Within a week they had a fence up around the machine and the controls were on the outside, wouldn't run if the gate was open

Also, loosen all the screws before you start taking any all the way out. Just go through and give all of them a few turns

If you're looking for a thinner wand

Go to Dollar Tree and get one of their book lights. They come with a fairly bright LED, 3 button cell batteries, and an on/off switch. It's all pre wired with about 6-8 inches between battery contacts and the LED

Is there an easy way to remove WD-40 residue from something metal before spray painting it?

Would just hosing it down with rubbing alcohol do the trick?

Stripping a length of copper once using an x-acto knife (wrong tool/wrong job) on a T shaped chunk of 2x6 wedged between my knees. the set up I had was to tie off one end of the wire with the other end spooled in my lap, wood chunk between my knees, then run the wire on the wood but under the blade (blade facing me) so it would strip as I rolled my desk chair backwards... Pretty smart set up I thought

Works well for a bit, until my had starts getting sore and I angled the blade wrong, it dug into the copper part, snapped, and went straight into my left thigh!

A lot of swearing, blood, rubbing alcohol, three stitches, and a few months later I still have a narly scar
