Damn, I would like to do something like this. Or like the handyman guys who work at apartment complexes. And if the job it too big, I tell the owners we gotta call a plumber or electrician. Loose doorknob? I got that!

What does it pay though? Wouldn’t want to deal with it for <$20 an hour.

Meh, for a serious post: I mean regular automatic transmissions have clutch packs. And then there are automated manual transmissions which are basically a manual but shifted by a computer, and the newfangled dual clutch transmissions. But anon’s post was still strange.

Those are the 99¢ HF adapters so idgaf if they explode. I have some Makita and Milwaukee ones that will hopefully hold up better.

And to anybody out there who is looking at these stubby Milwaukee adapters- be aware that they probably won’t lock into your impact driver. Neither of my Ridgids or muh DeWalt will lock them in, and my buddy’s M12 Fuel won’t lock them either. I figured the Milwaukee drivers would hold them at least.

No, it’s the chemistry of the battery. You can charge lithium batteries faster, but it will significantly shorten the lifespan. That’s why lots of these devices with optional rapid charges don’t recommend doing it unless you really need it, or you can only rapid charge it up to 80%, then the last 20% is much slower.

Hey bby. I just woke up.

The answer to that... the cheap ass adapter will never last. Look how chewed up the thing got after spinning one lugnut off. I bet the adapter would break before I got to the 2nd wheel.

It seems to get it done, but I'm still expecting the impact to break before the adapter. Time will tell I suppose.

That works. And the best part is your friends won’t be asking you to help them move every fucking summer.

I like having muh small-medium SUVs. Trailer hitch if I need it, and I can still slide 8ft long lumber in there. I have the roof rack too but I have never put much weight on there. The cost of having U Haul install the trailer hitch was cheaper than the difference between renting a trailer vs van when I had to move some shit halfway across the country.

Redoing my workbench, I got a couple 4’x8’ sheets of wood and had the Haitians at Home Depot cut them in half to 2’x8’. I had the ratchet straps because I didn’t think they would fit in my Escape, but they just made it in. Slid them between the front seats so one corner was at the rearview mirror and the other at the rear liftgate glass. I had Trump’s wall between me and the passenger seat so I couldn’t see the right mirror (or anything out the passenger window) so it was an exciting drive home.

If they do sell any, it isn’t many. The only Hercules tool I heard good things about was the saw that goes on sale for $300, but that’s not battery powered. There are very few complaints about it and everybody compares it to the $700+ DeWalt.

The battery powered tools are supposedly real fucking close to DeWalt, like the battery clip is exactly the same aside from one tiny slot. It could very well be contracted out to SB&D.

But it’s kinda like Kobalt 24V tools. They’re nice, but they aren’t cheap. Why wouldn’t you buy a known brand instead? Then you have to remember that DeWalt and Milwaukee are likely losing money when they sell you two tools, a charger, and a couple batteries for <$150. They are making their money when you need a new battery and you pay $99 for a 3.0Ah battery or nearly $150 for 5.0Ah or 6.0Ah. Meanwhile Lowe’s will sell you a Kobalt 2.0Ah for $20 or 4.0Ah for $50. And Hercules batteries are $30 for 2.5Ah or $50 for 5.0Ah.

My buddy got pic related for xmas, he was showing it off to me and was like “why the hell won’t these bits stay in?” and then found the little retaining ball and spring laying in grease at the bottom of the box.

At least it was from Home Depot so he was able to run back and get a fresh one.

Jesus christ.

I just rent a U-Haul trailer for everything. You can get it all day for $20 and they don’t count mileage like the vans so it doesn’t matter if you need to make a 400mi round trip to pick something up.

>tfw they’re all laughing at you and your lime green tools

I have been seeing a lot of Ridgids lately in the hands of a lot of techs and handymen. For some reason it seems like guys drilling and cutting wood all day run Makita or DeWalt, mechanics use Milwaukee if not bound to the Tool Truck Jew, and then the electricians and other techs who are drving a handful of screws into sheet metal or taking apart appliances have a Ridgid or DeWalt.

I have yet to witness anybody actually use a Harbor Freight Bauer or Hercules. Why did they think anybody would pay $100 for a HF compact brushed drill with one battery when you can get a DeWalt for the same price? And the Hercules has a 90 day warranty compared to 3 years, plus there’s only 2.5 tools in the fucking lineup. They should’ve stopped with the Bauer cordless tools.
